Membership dues are $225 for active members and $112.50 for corresponding members. For new active members within their first five years of practice, first-year dues are $50 and then $225 thereafter. Categories of Membership:
Active Membership Election to Active Membership shall be limited to physicians who:

Active Membership Application Junior Membership Junior member candidates shall be physicians in pathology residencies or fellowships. They shall be exempt from dues. They shall neither vote nor hold office, and may remain junior members for a maximum of six years. Junior Membership Application Honorary Membership Candidates for honorary membership shall be selected from the active members who shall have become inactive in, or retired from, the practice of pathology after long years of such practice. Such members shall be exempt from payment of dues, but shall have all other privileges and rights of active members, except voting and holding office. Corresponding Membership Corresponding membership shall be limited to pathologists who are non-residents of Texas, and who are either active members of this Society who have moved to another state, or are active members of the state pathology society where they reside. They shall pay one-half of active member dues, but shall neither vote nor hold office. Corresponding Membership Application Doctoral Scientist Membership Doctoral scientist membership shall be limited to those holding the Doctor of Philosophy or equivalent doctoral level degree and who devote their majority of their professional time in a clinical laboratory. They shall pay reduced fees as recommended by the Board of Directors, but shall neither vote nor hold office. Doctoral Scientist Membership Application Retired Membership Retired membership shall be limited to pathologists who are fully retired from the practice of pathology, and who make a request for a change in status to retired member and where reasonable documentation exists confirming retired status. They shall pay a reduced membership fee as set by the House of Delegates, but shall have all other privileges and rights of Active Members, except voting and holding office. They may remain Retired Members until such time they re-engage in the practice of pathology and are no longer retired. |
